Cal Poly Pomona senior Nicoletta Stork is this week’s California Collegiate Athletic Association Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week for Sept. 7-13.
Stork led the Broncos to a 3-1 record with wins over Fort Lewis, New Mexico Highlands, and Westminster (Utah) at the Cal State San Bernardino-hosted Coyote Classic.
She tallied 64 assists, while also totaling 54 kills, 27 digs, and hitting a team-best .418 on the weekend.
Stork’s two best performances of the tournament were in Friday’s 3-1 opener over Fort Lewis and CPP’s 3-0 finale victory over Westminster on Saturday.
Against Fort Lewis, Stork recorded a triple-double which included 11 kills and weekend-highs of 20 assists and 10 digs.
In the Broncos final game of the tournament, Stork hit a career-best .591 after smashing 13 kills in 22 attempts without a single error committed. She added 19 assist, four digs, and four blocks assists for a weekend-best 5.3 points per set.
