A.J. David

A.J. David of Cal Baptist has been named PacWest co-Player of the Week for the first time in his two-year career with CBU.
The senior outfielder put on a powerful display against the Academy of Art, hitting .571 (8-for-14) with six extra-base hits, including two home runs and four doubles for a whopping 1.286 slugging percentage.

David, who previously played two years at San Bernardino Valley College, drove in a total of nine runs and scored four times, while posting a .588 on-base and perfect fielding percentage. The Anaheim native had multiple hits in three of the four games, including a 3-for-4 performance with an RBI and two doubles in a 10-0 win in game two.

There were two rare home run feats accomplished by David on the week. In game one, he belted a grand slam in a 17-4 win Friday. In game three, David and Antonio Chavarria hit back-to-back home runs to lead off the seventh inning of an 8-0 win on Saturday.
