Chaffey College freshman guard Brian Beard was named to the All-Tournament team at the California Community College state event over the weekend.

The Panthers los the semifinal to eventual champion City College of San Francisco 86-71 but the Rancho Cucamonga High School graduate had 24 points, highlighted by a 9-of-14 showing from the field. He also had eight rebounds, five assists and a steal.

San Francisco’s Jalen Canty was named MVP. Other All-Tournament selections were Breaon Brady and Lyle Hexon, Saddleback and Zach Copeland and Trevor Dunbar of San Francisco.
