Junior Bryan Conant of Cal State Los Angeles has been selected the California Collegiate Athletic Association Baseball Player of the Week for March 23-29.
The Alta Loma High School graduate had two outstanding starts to lead the Golden Eagles to wins over Cal State Monterey Bay and Cal State East Bay.
Conant allowed just 11 hits and one earned run over 17 and 2/3 innings pitched for an ERA of 0.51.
To start the week, the right-hander gave up seven hits and one run, while striking out seven in a 5-1 victory over the Otters. Conant then tossed a four-hit, complete-game shutout, while allowing just one walk and striking out two batters in Sunday’s 3-0 win against the Pioneers.
