Chaffey’s Victor Joseph hits 1,000 point milestone

Hitting 1,000 points is hard enough to do when you’re in high school or a a four-year college and you have four years to do it.

Sophomore guard Victor Joseph of Chaffey College eclipsed the 1,000 point mark on Wednesday night in the Panthers 101-62 Foothill Conference victory over Victor Valley.

Joseph, a Rancho Cucamonga High product, entered the game seven points short of the mark and hit a 3-pointer with 17:04 left in the first half to hit the milestone.

Joseph is only the second Panther to score 1,000 points in coach Jeff Klein’s 15 seasons. The first was Winston Robinson who did so in 2009.

Joseph is averaging 21 points a game for the first-place Panthers.
