CMS coach departs for position at San Francisco State

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps is looking for an interim track coach as Kendra Reimer has accepted the women’s track & field head coaching position at NCAA Division II San Francisco State.

The search for an interim head coach will begin immediately. An interim head coach will guide the CMS track & field program during the 2014-15 season. A long-term replacement for Coach Reimer is expected to be hired in the spring of 2015.

During four seasons in Claremont, Reimer led the Stags and Athenas to four SCIAC team championships (2 men’s and 2 women’s) and recorded a combined 50-8 dual meet record. She coached 36 individual SCIAC champions and nine All-Americans. In 2011 and 2013 she was named the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) West Region Coach of the Year.

“This is bittersweet for me as it has been an honor to be a part of such a historic program like CMS Track & Field,” said Reimer. “I would like to thank you for your support and help throughout my tenure. I am grateful for my time here at CMS and am proud of our record and what our teams and student-athletes accomplished during the last four years. This is a winning program through and through and I’m privileged to have served a small part in its success.”
