Every pitcher dreams of throwing a no-hitter. University of Redlands freshman Felix Minjarez did just that, helping the Bulldogs to a 10-0 win over the University of La Verne in SCIAC play.

Minjarez, a Riverside native, walked one and struck out four in the eight-inning no-hitter.

The lone La Verne baserunner came via walk in the third inning, but that was the home team’s only opportunity.

Minjarez fed off a Bulldogs offense that pushed across 10 runs in the contest, as highlighted by a six-run fourth inning.

Second baseman Christoper Scalisi went 4 for 5 to lead the offense. Left fielder Mitch Samson had two hits, two RBI and scored twice.
