Cal State San Bernardino senior guard Isaiah Morton was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for Nov. 17-23.
He led the Coyotes to a 77-70 road victory over Humboldt State to open 2014 conference play on a night they were short-handed.
Morton scored a game-high 32 points, the most by any CSUSB player since 2009, on 10-for-19 shooting from the floor, including five 3-pointers and seven-for-11 shooting from the free throw line.
He also had a strong effort on defense, snagging five rebounds and five steals on the night.
The Coyotes (1-1, 1-0 CCAA) makes its 2014-15 Coussoulis Arena debut Saturday night against Humboldt State.
