Chino Hills graduate Jordyn Siko earns college honor

Senior setter Jordyn Siko of Cal Baptist has been named Pac West Player of the Week.
Siko, a graduate of Chino Hills High School, ranks second in the PacWest in assists per set (10.94).

It was no different in wins over Holy Names and Dominican last week. She tallied 68 assists (9.71 a set), with 23 digs, six kills, four blocks and two service aces.

Her highlight performance came in the five-set victory over Dominican on Saturday, when she produced 48 assists, tied her career-high for digs with 19 and added six kills, two blocks and an ace.

The Lancers had another player honored as well as junior middle blocker Jessica Harris was named Defensive Player of the Week.

The Lancers (15-3) will play at Brigham Young-Hawaii on Thursday.

Chino Hills native Jordyn Siko honored by PacWest

Chino Hills High School graduate Jordyn Siko of Cal Baptist University has earned All-PacWest honors for the first time.

Siko, who was named to the second team, helped the Lancers hit at a .243 percentage on the season, which ranked them No. 1 in the PacWest and 23rd in the division.

The junior battled through injury issues throughout the year, playing in 21 of 28 matches, with CBU hitting over .300 in matches where she setted.

She had 751 assists (10.73 a set), 170 digs, 48 kills, 41 blocks and 17 aces and produced nine double-doubles on the year.
