Senior guards Lacy Haddock (Las Vegas, Nev.) and Kirby Gardner (Rialto) capped their collegiate careers with National Basketball Association of Coaches (NABC) all-region honors.

Haddock earned first-team honors and Gardner was named to the second team for the Coyotes (24-5 overall), who won the CCAA regular-season title and  finished the regular season with a No. 16 national ranking.

Haddock, earlier named CCAA Player of the Year, averaged 12.9 points, 6.2 assists and 37.2 minutes a game.  He tied his school record for assists in a game with 14 against Westmont on Nov. 13 and had five double-digit assist games and eight games with at least eight.

His 1,079 minutes played is an all-time record for a Coyote in a season and he is the only player in school history to play at least 1,000 minutes in a season, which he accomplished in both seasons. Nine times he played an entire game including two overtime contests.

He completed his career as the No.2 all-time assists leader (324) and his 179 assists this season rates third all-time. His 6.17 assists/game (season) and 5.68 assists/game (career) are both second on the CSUSB charts.

Gardner, a former standout at Eisenhower High and San Bernardino Valley College, averaged 14.1 points a game and had five games of at least 20 points with a season-high 25 at Humboldt State on Dec. 7. He  shot 51.7 percent from the field, 41 percent 3-pointers and averaged 4 rebounds and 2.6 assists a game.
