The California Highway Patrol is diverting westbound Interstate 40 traffic to Interstate 15 in Daggett due to a tractor trailer that burst into flames near the U.S. Marine Corps Depot after striking the center divider. The driver escaped the semi.

Traffic collision, I-10, Pomona 1:20 p.m.
A four-car crash with one vehicle overturned occurred on the eastbound I-10 east of Fairplex Drive. Several lanes are blocked, witnesses told the CHP, and occupants of one vehicle are trapped. One of the vehicles is also reported to be on fire.
Traffic collision, I-215, San Bernardino, 7:58 a.m.
Several vehicles are by the center divider after colliding on the southbound 215 north of Little League Drive, the CHP reports. The crash resulted in minor injuries.

The CHP has received a report of brush burning on the right shoulder of the eastbound I-10 near Palm Avenue. Dispatch reports indicate it could possibly be two or three different small fires on the shoulder.

Possible fatal crash, Highway 58, Hinkley 1:35 p.m.
A traffic collision involving a tractor trailer and a van occurred on Highway 58 west of Hinkley. The semi jacknifed and is blocking both east and westbound traffic, the CHP reported.

The CHP issued a traffic advisory that the slow lane of the southbound 15 to the eastbound I-10 is closed, causing traffic to back up.

A motorcyclist on Milliken Avenue crashed into a tractor trailer near the on-ramp to the eastbound I-10. The rider is partially underneath the trailer of the semi, the CHP said. Milliken has been shut down over the 10 freeway for an unknown duration. Update: Sig-alert canceled at 10:11 a.m.

A vehicle is blocking the fast lane after the driver spun out and stopped facing the wrong way. The CHP is attempting to move the vehicle over to the right shoulder.

A crash involving a motorcycle is on eastbound Highway 30 at 5th Street. CHP reports the motorcyclist appears to have a leg injury. Vehicles are along the center divider. An ambulance is responding.

Fatal crash, I-40, near Needles 6:46 a.m.
A maroon Chrysler was found lying upside down in the center divider of the westbound I-40 about eight to 10 miles west of Highway 95 and east of National Trails Highway. A man was found dead in the car. There is no road closure as a result of the crash.

Most area highways including the 10, 15, 215 and 60 appear clear of major traffic congestion, according to Caltrans. Some backed up traffic is reported from Serfas Club Drive to Main Street on the 91 in Riverside. Congestion is also likely on Highway 71 through Chino Hills due to a Sig-alert.
Asphalt spill/Sig-alert, Highway 71, Chino Hills 5:42 a.m.
A tractor trailer overturned on the northbound 71 at Soquel Canyon Parkway, leaving about 150 feet of hot asphalt on the roadway. The CHP has closed the carpool lanes on both sides of the highway, along with two additional lanes on the southbound side and one northbound lane. Update: All lanes were reopened at 9:56 a.m.

A crash between a motorcycle and at least two other vehicles on I-10 just east of Pepper Ave. is blocking the No. 1 and 2 lanes and causing heavy traffic.

A VW and red Monte Carlo collided on the eastbound 60 just east of Pedley Road. Both vehicles were reported moved to the right shoulder but were causing traffic to slow.

Two rolls of carpet spilled out of a truck along the northbound Interstate 15 at Lytle Creek Road, causing a motorcyclist to crash. One roll of carpet was reported to be on the freeway and another on a transition road.

A traffic collision involving two vehicles occurred on the westbound 30 at Arden Avenue. The onramp from Arden Avenue is blocked.

CHP reports a vehicle overturned and the driver was possibly thrown through the windshield on the westbound 210 near Fruit Street. An ambulance has responded to the scene.
Route 66 - downtown San Bernardino - Friday-Sunday
The Stater Bros. Route 66 Rendezvous is here! And that means downtown San Bernardino traffic is rerouted around the event area.
The event area is bounded by Fifth Street on the north, Sierra Way on the east, Rialto Avenue on the south and G Street on the west.
Expect traffic backups throughout the area and on the nearby portions of Interstate 215. Highway 30 and Interstate 10 may also be busier.

A car crash at the Cherry Avenue off-ramp off the eastbound Interstate 10 has brought traffic to a stop and is backing up traffic onto the 10, CHP reports. Unknown if there are any injuries.
Highway 330 construction update
Hours that motorists will be escorted through areas of the Highway 330 slope reconstruction project will change to 5:30 to 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. beginning Sunday, according to Caltrans. Weekend construction closures, I-15, Devore
Weekend freeway closures scheduled by Caltrans are as follows: Northbound I-15 from Kenwood Avenue to Cleghorn Road will have only one lane open from 8 p.m. Sunday until 7 a.m. Monday. Starting Monday until Friday the connector road from the northbound 15 to the southbound 215 will be closed from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. The connectors from the northbound 215 to the southbound 15 and the southbound 15 to the southbound 215 will also be closed during that time. The southbound 15 from the Kenwood bridge to Cleghorn will have only one lane open from 8 p.m. until 7 a.m. starting Monday and ending Friday.

The CHP has issued a Sig-alert on the southbound 605 at Ramona Boulevard due to an overturned cement truck with cement spilled on the freeway. The three right lanes will be closed until about 8 a.m. for clean-up and investigation by CHP officers. The crash is expected to back up traffic on the westbound 210 freeway and is already creating congestion on the transition road to the southbound 605.
