Sig-alert, I-10, east of Cabazon 1:10 a.m.

A crane partially fell off the trailer of a big rig, blocking lanes of the westbound 10 at the Whitewater Cutoff Road. The rig also caught fire as a result of the crash. All westbound lanes are closed and traffic is being diverted off the freeway at Whitewater and then right back on the freeway. The duration of the closure is not known.
