The CHP shut down the fast lane of the westbound Highway 40 at Fort Cady Road due to a fuel spill. A semi truck driver slammed into the center divider, spilling five to 10 gallons of fuel onto the left lane and shoulder. The closure was expected to last until at least 9 a.m.
