The southbound 15 Freeway at Foothill Boulevard and Base Line Road in Rancho Cucamonga is congested due to a traffic collision. The northbound 15 Freeway at Philadelphia Street is also moving slowly, as is the westbound Highway 91 at Main Street in Corona and the eastbound 91 at Arlington Avenue.

A car flipped on its side on the northbound 15 Freeway transition road to the southbound 215, throwing out an occupant of the car. One person was killed in the crash. The transition road and the southbound 215 Freeway Devore off-ramp are both closed. The duration of the Sig Alert was not known. Traffic is backed up in both directions.

The biggest cluster of slowing is reported is on the northbound I-15 at the I-210 connector heading through Glen Helen and Devore but appears to loosen approaching the Cajon Pass. The California Highway Patrol shut down part of the 215 Freeway this morning after a driver overturned a vehicle and became pinned under the steering wheel. A Sig Alert was issued at 5:08 a.m. and officers closed two lanes of the southbound 215 at the Newport Avenue overcrossing, said CHP Officer Albert Graciano. It was unknown how long the closure would last. The driver's Chevy flipped onto its roof at 4:34 a.m., trapping the driver in the vehicle, Graciano said. The CHP received reports that one of the driver's hands was severed in the crash. The Sig Alert was canceled at 6:33 a.m.
