Wind advisory in effect for Inland areas

Gusty winds are expected over much of the Inland Empire and mountain areas this morning, according to a wind advisory issued at 4:57 a.m. by the National Weather Service.
North to northeast winds are expected to reach 20 to 30 miles per hour, with gusts in excess of 50 miles per hour at times through and below canyons and passes. Winds will diminish later in the afternoon.
Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 51 degrees today, dropping down to a low of 35 degree tonight.
Surface high pressure is building over Nevada this morning is bringing the locally gusty winds.
Winds this strong will make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles, according to the weather service. Motorists are advised to use caution.
The wind advisory will remain in effect until 2 p.m.
