Chain restrictions in High Desert, Forest Falls, San Bernardino Mountains

Chains are required in the following areas due to snow and ice, according to Caltrans:

- Highway 2 from five miles west of Big Pines to the San Bernardino County line
- Highway 18 from Heaps Peak to Lucerne Valley.
- Highway 38 from Forest Falls to Big Bear Dam.
- Highway 189 from Highway 18 to Highway 173
- Highway 330 from the Middle Passing Lane to Running Springs.
