Sig Alert, 57 Freeway, San Dimas 6:30 a.m.

A pickup truck plunged over the side of the 57 Freeway, prompting the California Highway Patrol to shut down an on-ramp and issue a Sig Alert.
The driver suffered major injuries when the vehicle veered off the side of the freeway at 6:02 a.m. and overturned into some bushes, said CHP Officer Francisco Villalobos. The CHP closed the Covina Boulevard on-ramp from 6:30 a.m. To 7:30 a.m. The carpool lane remained closed. The driver was flown to Los Angeles County USC Medical Center for treatment. Officers remained on scene trying to determine the cause of the crash.
