Sig alert, 10 Freeway, Palm Desert 7:29 a.m.

Part of the 10 Freeway will be closed until about 4 p.m. today due to a fuel spill in Riverside County.
A tractor trailer struck debris from a prior two-car crash on the westbound 10 Freeway east of Washington Street at 7:29 a.m., causing the leak, the California Highway Patrol said.
About 75 gallons of diesel fuel spilled onto the road.
Officers closed one lane from Jefferson to Washington streets and issued a Sig Alert at 8:44 a.m., originally estimating an eight-hour closure. The lanes were reopened at 9:13 a.m.
