Sig Alert, 57 Freeway, south of Diamond Bar, lanes closed

|

A small brush fire tied up traffic on the northbound 57 Freeway at the Los Angeles/Orange County border Saturday afternoon.
The fire started in a car but later spread to nearby brush on the north 57 near Brea Canyon at 2:08 p.m.
A Sig Alert was issued for the #2, #3 and #4 lanes on the north bound side. The south bound lanes were also slow because of spectator traffic, according to the California Highway Patrol.
By 7 p.m., the #3 and #4 lanes were still closed. Those lanes were expected to be shut down until 10 p.m. Saturday.
