Sig Alert, 60 Freeway, Diamond Bar 5:25 a.m.

DIAMOND BAR -- The California Highway Patrol shut down four lanes of the westbound 60 Freeway this morning after an animal fat spill caused several drivers to spin out.

A Sig Alert was issued at 5:25 a.m. on the 60 west of Diamond Bar Boulevard. CHP officers received a report of a four-car crash and a spill that was causing vehicles to slide on the freeway.

Los Angeles County firefighters came to the scene but there were no reports of injuries.

At 8:30 a.m., three lanes remained closed. The Sig Alert was canceled at 8:42 a.m.
