Sig Alert, 10 Freeway, Fontana 7:09 a.m.

|

One car overturned, landing on a freeway guardrail and another slid into a drainage ditch this morning, prompting a Sig Alert on the 10 Freeway. The 7:09 a.m. crash occurred on the westbound 10 east of Sierra Avenue. The California Highway Patrol said someone in a white Chevy Silverado overturned in the center divider and a second vehicle involved in the crash veered off the freeway into a ditch, said Officer Albert Graciano. There were no injuries in the crash, but it caused about 70 feet of damage to the guardrail and traffic backed up several miles into Colton on the westbound side. Eastbound traffic backed up to Cherry Avenue, Graciano said. The Sig Alert was canceled at 8:11 a.m.
