The California Highway Patrol shut down the carpool lane and three other lanes on the eastbound 10 west of Indian Hill Boulevard after the 5:14 a.m. crash. A Sig Alert was issued for an unknown duration. Two lanes were reopened at 10:18 a.m. The freeway was expected to be completely reopened by around 1 p.m.

A vehicle crashed on the 60 Freeway east of Diamond Bar Boulevard, spilling oil across three lanes and prompting a Sig Alert. The crash was reported at 4:33 a.m. on the eastbound 60 Freeway. The motorist struck the center divider, causing oil to spread across the freeway. Caltrans crews arrived about 5:30 a.m. to clean up the spill. The Sig Alert was canceled at 6:46 a.m.
