Sig Alert, 10 Freeway, Redlands 12:32 a.m.

|

A tractor trailer hauling paper goods caught on fire after it collided with a Dodge Avenger on the 10 Freeway in Redlands late Tuesday, forcing the closure of eastbound lanes. A Sig Alert issued shortly after midnight remained in effect this morning because the slow lane and Tennessee Avenue off-ramp were closed for clean up and guardrail repair, said California Highway Patrol Officer Jaci Parent. The crash was reported on the eastbound 10 at Tennessee at 11:42 p.m. One of the semi's two trailers caught on fire. Officers closed all eastbound lanes until 12:32 a.m. due to heavy smoke.
