Sig Alert, 57 Freeway, Diamond Bar 8:30 a.m.

A vehicle caught on fire on the southbound 57 Freeway in Diamond Bar this morning, prompting a Sig Alert. The fire was reported about 8 a.m. on the 57 north of Diamond Bar Boulevard. The California Highway Patrol received reports that the vehicle was partially engulfed in flames and the fire was igniting brush. Occupants of the vehicle escaped the fire. The CHP issued a Sig Alert at 8:30 a.m., closing down one lane for an unknown duration.
