Sig Alert, 15 Freeway, Ontario 6 a.m.

|
A semi truck containing 32,000 pounds of frozen food jackknifed and overturned on the southbound 15 Freeway in Ontario this morning, forcing the closure of the 10 Freeway connector road. The California Highway Patrol said the driver was on the 15 about 5:30 a.m. and veered over suddenly to take the eastbound 10 Freeway interchange when he hit the transition road divider. The crash pinned the driver in the semi. The CHP received reports that the driver was injured. About 6 a.m., the CHP said the connector road between the southbound 15 and eastbound 10 would be closed at least three hours. UPDATE: At 9:23 a.m., the CHP said the transition from the southbound 15 to the westbound 10 was reopened. The transition to the eastbound 10 remains closed because the trailer is being unloaded.
