There's a couple of maintenance construction projects that may cause havoc with your drive through Ontario and Fontana the next couple of weeks.
First up is a guardrail repair scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday (December 9) in Ontario. The northbound Jurupa Street onramp and the number 6 lane from Jurupa Street to the I-10 connector are scheduled to be closed.
Then, from 7 p.m. December 13 to 4 a.m. December 14, the southbound number 2, 3 and 4 lanes will be closed from Sierra Avenue to Summit Avenue in Fontana, for a slab replacement project.

From 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. November 17 through 22, the northbound 15 will be closed at Jurupa Avenue.
From 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. November 21 through 23, the southbound 15 will be closed at Foothill Boulevard.
Caltrans is urging commuters to use alternate routes. Signs will be posted in advance.

An eight-car crash prompted a Sig Alert on the 15 Freeway in Norco. The 12:18 p.m. crash blocked the two left lanes on the southbound 15 north of Sixth Street. The California Highway Patrol issued a Sig Alert at 12:35 p.m. to last one hour.
A blue Mercedes Benz crashed into a tractor trailer on the southbound 15 Freeway south of Foothill Boulevard, blocking three lanes. The semi truck leaked a 1,000-foot line of fuel due to the collision.
Four separate crashes occurred on the southbound 15 Freeway north of the 215 Freeway interchange. One person suffered minor injuries.
A crash resulting in minor injuries occurred on the northbound 15 Freeway on the Fort Irwin Road off-ramp. The off-ramp was closed for the crash.
A semi truck containing 32,000 pounds of frozen food jackknifed and overturned on the southbound 15 Freeway in Ontario this morning, forcing the closure of the 10 Freeway connector road.
The California Highway Patrol said the driver was on the 15 about 5:30 a.m. and veered over suddenly to take the eastbound 10 Freeway interchange when he hit the transition road divider.
The crash pinned the driver in the semi. The CHP received reports that the driver was injured.
About 6 a.m., the CHP said the connector road between the southbound 15 and eastbound 10 would be closed at least three hours.
UPDATE: At 9:23 a.m., the CHP said the transition from the southbound 15 to the westbound 10 was reopened. The transition to the eastbound 10 remains closed because the trailer is being unloaded.
The California Highway Patrol issued a Sig Alert on the 15 Freeway in the Cajon Pass this morning following a pair of crashes involving six vehicles. Two cars collided on the southbound 15 south of Highway 138, followed by another crash involving four cars at 5:24 a.m., said CHP Officer Steven Cuevas. All lanes were blocked initially and officers issued a Sig Alert at 6:03 a.m. Officers eventually opened up one lane on the 15. The Sig Alert is expected to last until about 7 a.m.
A yellow Lexus overturned on the northbound 15 Freeway south of Basin Road, blocking two lanes.
The Halloran Springs Road off-ramp from the northbound 15 remained closed due to a semi truck that caught on fire at 10:19 p.m. Tuesday.
The CHP issued a traffic advisory due to the Highway 395 off-ramp from the northbound 15 Freeway being closed for construction.
A Toyota Scion and a sport-utility vehicle collided on the southbound 15 Freeway at Oak Hill Road, blocking the fast lane. The crash resulted in minor injuries.
A crash involving two vehicles occurred on the southbound 15 Freeway south of Highway 138. One of the vehicles stopped along the center divider and the other was on the right shoulder. One peson suffered minor injuries but declined to be taken to a hospital.
A silver pickup truck struck the center divider on the southbound 15 Freeway south of Highway 138. The crash blocked several lanes.
A blue Ford Thunderbird and a black sedan collided on the southbound 15 Freeway north of the Highway 58 interchange. There were no reported injuries.

A semi truck had a tire blow out and then struck a gold Buick on the southbound 15 Freeway south of the 10 Freeway interchange, blocking the fast lane.

One person was thrown from a vehicle and two others were trapped in a crash on the southbound 15 Freeway near Minneola Road east of Barstow at 6:21 a.m. Southbound lanes were closed at 7:31 a.m. so a helicopter could land and pick up injured victims. All lanes were reopened at 8:11 a.m.

A diesel truck caught on fire on the right shoulder of the westbound 40 Freeway near Highway 95. The CHP shut down one lane so firefighters could attack the blaze.
A vehicle struck a tractor trailer on the northbound 15 Freeway at Oak Hill Road. The driver didn't stop after striking the semi. There were no reported injuries.

The northbound 15 Freeway was closed south of Oak Hill Road for about 30 minutes following a crash involving a Ford Ranger and a semi truck. The Ford rear-ended the semi, causing the driver to become trapped in the vehicle. The CHP initially called for a helicopter to take the driver to a hospital, but the driver was taken by ambulance instead. All lanes were reopened at 6:33 a.m.
Two white sport-utility vehicles collided on the southbound 15 Freeway north of Glen Helen Parkway. A witness said debris was in several lanes. One of the vehicles stopped on the right shoulder and the other stopped along the center divider.
Caltrans crews plan to close the southbound 15 Freeway connector to the east- and westbound 60 Freeway from Friday night until Monday morning for roadwork.

A hit and run crash occurred on the northbound 15 Freeway north of Jurupa Street, blocking two lanes. At least one person was injured in the crash.
A fuel tank on a tractor trailer ruptured, spilling 60 to 70 gallons of fuel on the Glen Helen Road off-ramp off the southbound 15 Freeway at 11:46 p.m. Tuesday. One lane was expected to remain closed until about 8:30 a.m. this morning.
A silver GMC Jimmy and a silver Chevy Malibu collided on the southbound 15 Freeway north of Highway 138. Both vehicles pulled to the right shoulder. There were no reported injuries.
Due to the ongoing construction on Interstate 15, the northbound Jurupa Street on- and off-ramps from I-15 are scheduled to be closed from 10 p.m. Friday (May 21) through 5 a.m. Monday (May 24).

A crash involving two pickup trucks occurred on the northbound 15 Freeway south of Wheaton Springs near the Nevada state line. One of the trucks overtirned onto the right shoulder. The crash resulted in major injuries.
A semi truck and a blue Dodge Ram with a boat collided on the northbound 15 Freeway south of Foothill Boulevard. Both vehicles stopped on the right shoulder. There were no reported injuries.

A Toyota Camry and a Toyota pickup collided on the northbound 15 Freeway south of Jurupa Street. A barrel fell out of the truck, striking the Toyota. There were no reported injuries.
A vehicle blocked Mariposa Road after getting into a crash on the northbound 15 Freeway north of Bear Valley Road.
The fast lane was closed on the northbound 15 Freeway at Highway 247 to the 40 Freeway for road work.
A gray Chrysler 300 rear-ended a semi truck on the northbound 15 Freeway north of Highway 138, blocking lanes. The freeway was cleared at 8:31 a.m.
A driver in a white truck who was passing vehicles on the right shoulder struck a tractor trailer on the northbound 15 Freeway south of Oak Hill Road. The driver didn't stop for the crash. There were no reported injuries.
Two lanes were closed on the northbound 15 Freeway at Highway 58 for road construction. The closure was scheduled to last until 2 p.m.
A red Ford F-150 pickup truck and a black Ford sedan collided on the northbound 15 Freeway at Main Street. Both vehicles stopped along the center divider. Paramedics came to the scene to help a child who hit her head during the crash.
A gray Mazda 636 collided with a blue and gray motorhome on the southbound 15 Freeway south of the 215 Freeway. The motorhome stopped along the center divider and the Mazda was on the right shoulder.
A tan Chevy sedan was struck by another vehicle on the northbound 15 Freeway north of Jurupa Street. The second vehicle did not stop for the crash. The CHP received reports that at least one person was injured.
A brown Toyota struck the center divider and spun out on the northbound 15 Freeway north of the 10 Freeway, partially blocking the fast lane. The road was cleared at 9:23 a.m.

The California Highway Patrol closed the southbound 15 Freeway about an hour this morning after nails and other building materials spilled on the road from a three-car crash.
The crash was reported at Oak Hill Road in Hesperia at 5:22 a.m. Two sedans and a construction truck collided, resulting in minor injuries, said California Highway Patrol Officer Jaci Parent.
Officers issued a Sig Alert at 5:35 a.m. They opened one lane at 6 a.m. and the remaining lanes at 6:20 a.m.
The crash backed up traffic past Main Street.
Due to the ongoing construction on Interstate 15, both the east- and westbound I-10 connectors to southbound I-15, along with the southbound I-15 Jurupa Avenue off-ramp, are scheduled to be closed from 10 p.m. Friday (March 12) through 5 a.m. Monday (March 15).
Detour signs will be posted to indicate alternate routes.

A green Jeep Grand Cherokee and a brown sedan collided on the northbound 15 Freeway north of Highway 138. An occupant of the sedan complained of pain from the crash.
A crash involving two tractor trailers and a truck forced the closure of the southbound 15 Freeway near Baker this morning. The California Highway Patrol closed the 15 south of Valley Wells Rest Area after the 3:50 a.m. crash. A Sig Alert was issued at 4:15 a.m. The Sig Alert was canceled at 9:20 a.m.
A semi truck broke down on the Base Line Road on-ramp to the southbound 15 Freeway, blocking a lane. The CHP issued a Sig Alert, which lasted until 9:15 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol is on scene of a big-rig fire and fuel spill on the northbound 15 Freeway at Jurupa Avenue in Ontario.
As of 3:30 p.m. the # 3 lane was shut down for clean up, according to information from the CHP.
The eastbound lanes of Jurupa are also closed.

A white four-door Lexus crashed in the center divider on the northbound 15 Freeway south of Glen Helen Parkway. Paramedics came to the scene to help at least one person who complained of head pain from the crash.
