Planning a trip to Vegas or Laughlin this summer? You might want to pay attention.
Two pavement resurfacing projects are starting Monday (July 18) that might slow your drive.
One is on I-15 between Rasor Road to the Nevada state line. The other is on I-40 from Crucero Road to Kelbaker Road.
Work on both projects will take place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday. One lane will remain open at all times.
Both projects are scheduled to be completed by October.

A semi truck crashed through the center divider on the westbound 40 Freeway near Crucero Road and rolled over onto the eastbound side. The road was reopened at 5:08 a.m.
A vehicle overturned and landed in a ditch on the westbound 40 Freeway near Goffs Road at 2:50 a.m.
A tractor trailer overturned on the westbound 40 Freeway near Crucero Road, blocking lanes and causing a fuel leak. The crash resulted in major injuries.
A silver truck had a tire blowout and struck a white Nissan Sentra on the westbound 40 Freeway east of A Street. There were no reported injuries.
A vehicle had a tire blowout and struck the center divider on the eastbound 40 Freeway east of A Street. There were no reported injuries.
A tractor trailer containing asphalt overturned on the 40 Freeway at 1:02 a.m. near the Desert Oasis rest area, spilling diesel fuel and tar and forcing a partial closure of the highway. The driver veered off the road into a ditch, causing the semi to land on its side. The driver suffered major injuries and was flown to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs. Officers closed one lane of the highway until about 5 a.m.
A crash involving two semi trucks occurred off the westbound 40 Freeway in the Fenner Rest Area near Goffs Road. The rest area was expected to be closed for two or three hours due to the crash, which resulted in injuries.
A red sedan overturned on the 40 Freeway east of National Trails Highway, blocking a lane.
