A paving project begun this week to repair damaged pavement on SR-18 in the San Bernardino Mountains will continue through late August.
Work is being done on the back side of the San Bernardino Mountains from Pine View Drive (post mile 53) to Meridian Road (post mile 72.1) between Big Bear and Apple Valley.
Work hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Flagging will take place during the work -- delays are expected to be approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

A semi truck jackknifed on Highway 18 near Marble Canyon Road, blocking the road. There were no reported injuries.
A motorcyclist struck a pickup truck and then crashed into a guardrail on Highway 18 near Panorama Point south of Crestline. At least one person was injured in the crash and emergency personnel requested a helicopter to take a victim to a hospital.
Caltrans closed eastbound lanes on Highway 18 between Pine Knot Boulevard and Georgia Street for road work. The closure was scheduled to last until about 3 p.m.
A white utility truck with a trailer overturned on Highway 18 at Arrowbear Drive, spilling three gallons of fuel on the highway.
A man in a gray Kia Sportage collided with a bear on Highway 18 at Crestline Cutoff south of Crestline at 5:11 a.m. The driver initially stopped, but the bear began walking toward him so he left the scene, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A two car crash occurred on Highway 18 at Old Waterman Canyon Road, blocking both uphill and downhill lanes. There were no reported injuries.
A gray Jaguar and a 4-wheel-drive vehicle collided on Highway 18 at Gildart Drive, blocking lanes.
