The Long Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau is apparently on an award tour.
Since July, the CVB took home five meeting industry awards by Successful Meetings Magazine, Meetings & Conventions Magazine, Corporate and Incentive Travel Magazine, Insurance and Financial Management Meetings Magazine and Association Conventions & Facilities Magazine.
For the sixth straight year, the CVB earned the prestigious Pinnacle Award and for the 14th year in a row received from M&C the Gold Service Award, honoring professionalism and dedication in their service to meeting professionals.
And if that weren't enough, the CVB also netted its second Distinctive Achievement Award from Association Conventions and Facilities magazine, its fourth Award of Excellence by Corporate and Incentive Travel Magazine and third World Class Award by Insurance and Financial Management Meetings.
"We appreciate the recognition by planners in the meeting community as these accolades reflect upon the cohesive partnership to deliver excellent service by our hotels, convention center, city management team and elected officials," said CVB President and CEO Steve Goodling.
"As a community, we've worked hard to ensure that every convention had an excellent experience and this effort has been recognized by the industry and shared amongst planners individually. This word of mouth and industry recognition has helped us achieve a distinct competitive advantage."
