Veteran Entrepreneur Workshop today

The U.S. Small Business Administration, Los Angeles County 10,000 Jobs Initiative, Long Beach Small Business Development Center and other participating organizations are sponsoring a workshop today for veteran entrepreneurs.

The workshop will focus on loan programs, technical assistance and government contracting including the Recovery Act.

Keynote speakers will talk about technical assistance and government contracting and how these tips can help in business planning. They also will discuss what lenders look for in this economic climate in terms of loans and lines of credit.

The workshop is today, Aug. 18 at the VA Hospital in Long Beach, 5901 E. 7th St., Bldg. 2, 2nd Floor in the Theater. Parking is available in Lots J, K and N. Registration begins at 4:30 p.m. Workshop is from 5 to 7 p.m.
