Hotel workers march from Hilton to Hyatt with Hope Quilt

Nearly 350 hotel workers and housekeepers and women leaders, students, community and clergy leaders will make a one-mile pilgrimage from the Hilton Long Beach to the Hyatt Long Beach, carrying a 7 feet wide by 60 feet long "Hope Quilt" and launching the 7-city nationwide "Hope for Housekeepers" National Tour.

Maria Elena Durazo, L.A. County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO, Tonia Reyes Uranga, City Councilmember, District 7, Alexandra Torres Galancid, Executive Director, Women in Non Traditional Employment Roles (WINTER) and more than 300 hotel housekeepers, religious leaders, students and community members are expected to attend.
