Jeffrey T. Miyaoka has been appointed the new general manager of The Pike at Rainbow Harbor, Developers Diversified Realty Corp., which owns and manages The Pike, announced Today.
Miyaoka previously worked as a senior director of property management at Kimco Realty Corp. and has held similar roles at The Irvine Co. Retail Properties, and Madison Marquette Retail Services, developers of mixed-use properties driven by entertainment and lifestyle, such as the Bay Street Emeryville and Irvine Spectrum Center.
The San Diego State University graduate is a licensed real estate broker in California, and has a Shopping Center Manager accreditation from the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Miyaoka said he is excited to be at The Pike, which encompasses more than 360,000 square feet of restaurants and entertainment uses along Shoreline Drive near the aquarium and convention center, including a Cinemark Theater, The Laugh Factory, Gameworks, Avia Hotel and soon, a Hooters Restaurant.
"Between our restaurants and our unique entertainment offerings, The Pike offers something for everyone and I look forward to continuing efforts to improve the center and make The Pike and the Long Beach waterfront district a premier entertainment and dining destination."
