John Mendoza, Pomona City Council District 6 candidate
Two years ago voters in District 6 were urged to vote for the current city councilman for district 6, because he was the only so called only qualified candidate at the time who could get the job done. Now, two years later voters in district are urged not to vote for the current city councilman because he has been ineffective in representing the district. Ineffective in delivering services to improve our streets, side walks, alleys, trimming trees and ineffective in stopping violent crime. Recent FBI statistics confirm that murder and forcible rape increased in 2006 and 2007. There were 19 murders in 2006 and 27 murders in 2007. The last two years at Pomona City hall has been shaken by infighting and wasteful spending while the criminals walk our streets. Voters in the Pomona District 6, think before you take any more recommendations of who to vote for because special interest power grabbing is behind the scene<WC>.<WC1>
Therefore, I John Mendoza ask for your vote this November 4th for the office of councilmember for district 6 to get a clean start in the district to get the job done that was never started which is improving the district and the city of Pomona.
As a resident of District 6 of N Pomona for over twenty years and a father of two young adults John and Veronica I understand the importance of public safety for our children. Public safety is the number one top priority.
As a resident in the community I have always advocated to our city officials the need to invest in programs for our youth, infrastructure improvements such as alley paving, street and sidewalk repairs, speed humps on dangerous streets and so on.
And finally as a resident in the district I have always voiced concern over the issue of improving communication between residents and city hall in the decision making process.
Your vote will guarantee maximum input to City Hall.
Your vote will guarantee more Neighborhood Watch Groups.
Your vote will guarantee improved street repairs, alley paving, tree trimming, and sidewalk repairs.
Your vote will help and contain gang violence in the city.
