According to the county registrar's Web site, new results will not be posted in San Bernardino County until 6 a.m. Now might be the time to catch some shut-eye for candidates and supporters waiting for results to come in.
Yes, Obama won. I realize this is old news by now. But for an excellent map that has state-by-state returns from the presidential race, you can't beat this New York Times presentation.
The county registrar's office hasn't reported new precinct results in several hours. I'll post new information is it comes in. In the meantime, click here to sift through the results as they stand so far.
Results for four additional precincts have been posted by the county registrar. With 11 of 19 precincts reporting, Pomona Councilman Elliott Rothman now leads fellow Councilman George Hunter 36 percent to 26 percent.
On first glance, these results appear surprising because Rothman was recently arrested by Pomona PD on suspicion of DUI. However, in today's paper, Monica Rodriguez reported that Rothman's blood-alcohol content was below the legal limit. Maybe that gave him a boost.

From a candidate profile by Bulletin reporter Monica Rodriguez:
Danielle Soto, 22, said to address crime issues she would seek resident involvement in her district.
"I would get my district more involved by helping facilitate and organizing more Neighborhood Watch groups," she said.
Her next step would involve seeking to increase street lighting to deter criminals from carrying out misdeeds and pursuing state and federal grant dollars to pay for such improvements, Soto said.
Something else she would pursue is greater collaboration between residents and police officers, and have the department possibly have one or two officers who patrol a certain area closely and build relationships with residents so the latter know who to approach with a concern, she said.
The percentage of precincts reporting in each of these races varies, but it's looking like there will be no turnover from one party to another in local state senate and assembly races.

If you watch television, you've probably heard about the hotly contested race for the seat being vacated by Los Angeles County Supervisor Yvonne Burke.
As the results stand now, with nearly half of precincts reporting, Mark Ridley-Thomas leads Bernard Parks in the race for Burke's seat by a margin of 61 percent to 39 percent.
The race was closely watched because the winner is expected to represent the swing vote on the 5-member board of supervisors. Ridley-Thomas had the support of local labor unions, and was viewed as the more reliably liberal choice. Complete Results
