Rancho Cucamonga City Council: October 2008 Archives
Jim Moffatt, Rancho Cucamonga City Council candidate
"Offers a strong economic and professional background with many years of effective leadership experience."
As a professional businessman, I have received numerous awards for my performance in excellence. As a team player I have also had the privilege of inspiring others to achieve a high level of performance.
1978-present Owner, Red Hill Coffee Shop Manages all areas of business. Overall management includes but not limited to training and maintaining employees, budgeting and all responsibilities involved. I work well with others, even in a leadership position.
District Sales Manager, Thom McAn Shoes Began in 1956 and transferred to California as a District Sales Manager. Very successful in managing the west coast district stores. Retired 1996.
I am a natural and persuasive communicator recognized with the ability to energize and inspire individuals to work towards achieving a common goal. I am a creative and resourceful professional with a track record of initiating or contributing to community activities.
We, as a city should and must live within our means as we also hope the state of California would do the same, but we must focus on our city. I am against the proposal or any incentive for higher taxes. I am also committed to providing new residents as well as our established residents with a good quality of life which requires less crowding by reducing densities within our city limits. I believe in taking action to improve our quality of life and I will proudly represent our city.
I will be honored to earn your support in this coming election. Committing myself to our community has been an absolute pleasure and has provided me with a great sense of purpose. I want to be a voice in the City Council, and I pledge to protect your interest. I am not backed by any outside Special Interest Groups.
