UFC 73

Welcome to The Press-Telegram's round by round coverage of UFC 73 live from the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, Calif.

There will be four dark matches before the pay-per-view begins at 7 p.m. The first dark fight features lightweights Mark Bocek takes on Frankie Edgar. Jason Gilliam and Chris Lytle will follow that match at the welterweight class. The last two matches before the pay-per-view will feature lightweights Diego Saraiva and Jorge Gurel followed by Mike Nickels and Stephan Bonnar in the light heavyweight class.
The pay-per-view will begin with heavyweights Heath Herring and Minotauro Nogueira. The swing bout of the night is a light heavyweight battle between Alvin Robinson and Kenny Florian. The first title on the line will be the lightweight belt featuring defending champion Sean Sherk and challenger Hermes Franca. Fan favorite Tito Ortiz will take on Rashad Evans in a light heavyweight bout. The main event of the evening will be middleweight champion Anderson Silva versus Nate Marquardt.
Non-title fights will go a maximum of three rounds while title bouts go five.
Action will begin shortly.

Tito should beat Evans if they go to the ground but watch out if the stand up. This could end up the same way as when Tito fought Chuck Lidell? Tito on his back... Should be fun to watch. I predict Tito in 2 rounds? Ground and Pound!
