Silva vs. Jackson

One of the most anticipated matches of the night features light heavyweight Wanderlei "The Axe Murderer" Silva (32-8-1) taking on Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (28-7). Silva is 2-0 against Jackson, both wins coming in PRIDE.
Both fighters start out stalking each other. Chants of "Silva" fill the arena about a minute into the match, followed by "Rampage" later. Jackson tries to go for a takedown but is quickly blocked by Silva. Jackson almost gets Silva as Silva loses his balance while going on an attack. Jackson can't move in. However, while both fighters go at each other, Jackson scores on a left hook that puts Silva to sleep. Jackson gets one shot in by the time referee Yves Lavigne steps in, but it looks like Jackson gets one more shot it before he finally gets off and stops the match at 3:26 of the first round.
Silva lays motionless on the mat for a while, before finally sits up. Jackson moves to 29-7 while Silva falls to 32-9-1.
