Top players no shows at Bob Hope

| | Comments (0) |

Stewart Cink has the distinction of being the highest-ranked player at the Bob Hope Classic, and he's just 24th in the world rankings. There are no players ranked in the top 23 and just three in the top 30. Scott Verplank (25th) and Mike Weir (30th) are in the field, too. That's where the celebrities come in. George Lopez, who hosts the event, will play with Samuel Jackson and Luke Wilson. Charley Hoffman, the defending champion, will play with that group today. Other celebrities in the field are: Cheech Marin, Yogi Berra, Alice Cooper, Kenny G, Kevin James and Don Cheadle.
