Phyllis Wade honored

Phyllis Wade, who turns 80 this year, was honored in the press tent at Riviera Country Club today for her 60 years of volunteer services. She has done all sorts of jobs and now clips golf articles from area papers for a scrapbook. She was friends with Bob Hope and still is friends with his widow, Delores Hope. Wade will receive a Waterford Crystal trophy from the California Golf Writers Association. The crystal bowl is on its way. Also, she received a beautiful chocolate cake from Riviera Country Club.
Wade is a golfer herself and once shot a 68 at Riviera!
