Tiger Woods made a 15-foot putt on the 18th hole to send the U.S. Open to a playoff. He’ll play 18 holes with Rocco Mediate tomorrow for the championship.

Rocco Mediate birdied the 14th hole, and Woods bogeyed the 13th, so Mediate moved into the lead by one shot over Tiger.

Tiger Woods birdied the ninth hole and parred the 10th at the U.S. Open. He’s now in a three-way tie with Rocco Mediate – playing in the group in front of him – and Lee Westwood. Eight holes to go.

Here is the press release from NBC regarding Saturday’s ratings of Tiger’s incredible 1-under 70 round that featured two eagles and a crazy chip-in birdie that hit the flagstick.

Tiger Woods walked into Torrey Pines without much of a limp this morning and is working on the practice putting green. He said yesterday he would get a shooting pain his leg upon impact, but it wasn’t on every swing.
