Former Dodgers host RBI golf tourney

The 5th Annual RBI/Brad Warner Scholarship Fund
Celebrity Golf Tournament will be on Monday, benefiting the Los
Angeles Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) Program, at the
Valencia Country Club. For more information, here’s the press

FORMER DODGERS HIGHLIGHT
RBI GOLF TOURNAMENT

WHAT: The 5th Annual RBI/Brad Warner Scholarship Fund
Celebrity Golf Tournament will be on Monday, benefiting the Los
Angeles Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) Program. Those
committed to play, including 13 Dodger legends, are Maury Wills and
Don Newcombe, two-time National League batting champion Tommy Davis,
Al Downing, “Sweet Lou” Johnson, Hall of Famer Frank Robinson, Kenny
Landreaux, Derrel Thomas, Hubie Brooks, Joe Moeller, Rick Dempsey,
Rudy Law and current Dodger pitcher James McDonald, a graduate of the
Los Angeles RBI program. Joining them will be New York Mets’ Manager
Jerry Manuel, San Francisco Giants all-time save leader Robb Nen,
Darrell Jackson, Bill Slayback, and four-time UCLA All-American and
USA Olympic Softball shortstop Natasha Watley. The RBI program was
founded by former Major League player and scout, John Young with the
mission to provide baseball and softball programs that encourage
academic, community and social responsibility in youngsters ages
10-18.

MISC: The RBI/Brad Warner Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament is
the brainchild of Michele Warner, an Encino resident who organized
the event in the memory of her late son Brad who passed away in 2003.
