Phil's baaaaaaaaack!

| | Comments (0) |

Phil Mickelson announced on his Web site that he'll play next week at the Bridgestone Invitational, followed by the PGA Championship at Hazeltine - the last major of the season. He said he'll also play in the Barclays.
Mickelson had been out for six weeks after his wife, Amy, was diagnosed with breast cancer and had subsequent surgery. During that time, Phil's mom, Mary, was also diagnosed with breast cancer and had recent surgery as well.
This is a huge boost for the PGA Tour, which has been without the game's second-biggest star and the world's second highest-paid athlete. Tiger Woods missed the cut at the British Open, and Mickelson didn't play in the event.
