VCJGA Announces Mike Andonian Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament

VENTURA, Calif. -- The Ventura County Junior Golf Association
(VCJGA) will host the inaugural Mike Andonian Scholarship Fund Golf
Tournament on Monday, October 26 at Las Posas Country Club in Camarillo.
The tournament and scholarship fund is named in memory of Mike
Andonian, a teacher and golf coach at Ventura High School who founded the
VCJGA in 1967. Andondian passed away in 2007 at the age of 81. All net
proceeds from the tournament will go entirely to fund the Mike Andonian
Scholarship Fund which will annually provide financial aid to college bound
members of the VCJGA
Entry fee is $200 per person or $750 per foursome, which also
includes tee prizes, on course contests, and buffet dinner.
"The tournament and the renaming of the scholarship fund will insure
Mike is forever linked with the VCJGA and that his legacy will continue to
live on through this organization," says board member Bruce Beck who is
organizing the event.

develop boys and girls golf skills and character by providing quality
competitive golf events that merit integrity and honor the traditions of the
