Tiger Woods can play in own tourney...whew!

| | Comments (0) |

Tiger Woods fell just three spots in the world rankings on Sunday, to No. 49, but that means he's officially eligible to play in the Chevron World Challenge in Decemeber. The top 50 in the world are eligible, and the two exemptions for the tournament must offer those spots to golfers ranked in the top-50. The deadline for the rankings was today. Woods likely will drop further in the rankings but the deadline used for the tournament has passed, so he can play. The tournament was awarded official world ranking points two years ago, making it a more lucrative event for the world's top players.
