Sunland Tujunga Neighborhood Council to discuss several area developments

| | Comments (0) |

The Sunland Tujunga Neighborhood Council will discuss area residential and business developments at its next meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Gleason Middle School, 10965 Mt. Gleason Ave., Sunland.

On the agenda will be updates about the controversial Las Lomas residential development, the Verdugo HIlls Golf Course and Foothill/Commerce Town Center as well as a report about three "lock down" permits issued for the safety of a former local KMart store, which was purchased by Home Depot.

Because Home Depot's development of the site is in litigation, construction has halted. The permits were requested because parts of the structure are not secure from the elements.

Also the council is accepting candidate applications for its upcoming election. Filing deadline is 5 p.m. March 6.
