Jack vs. Canada

Should be an interesting night for Jack Johnson in Vancouver. He’s not exactly a favorite in Canada after an elbow he delvered on Steve Downie during the World Junior Championships, a hit that many north of the border think was dirty. I’ll attach a clip of the hit so you can judge for yourself.

It wouldn’t be surprising if Johnson got roundly booed tonight, and he seemed prepared for it.

“It will be fun,” Johnson said. “Hopefully they haven’t forgotten about me. I kind of get a kick out of it. It’s kind of funny to have 20,000 people yelling that you suck. I’d rather be remembered as a guy they hate than be forgotten.”
