For more info on the Kings' national TV appearances this season (or lack thereof), check out the blog posting from our TV/radio/Internet guru, Tom Hoffarth.

TV scoreboard: Ducks 5, Kings 1, East Coast (can't count that high)

Well, isn't that just special?! I guess to let Versus know that the games they schedule are not the ones I want to see I'll just stop watching the station. To make things even worse, once again, Charter Communications is not offering the Center Ice package in Long Beach for the third year. It's time to get Direct TV so we can watch the games we want to see. NBC doesn't give a rat's petootie so they lose me too.

That's fine by me actually. If Versus isn't showing it then FSN can show it...which is good for me since I can't/don't get Versus.

BTW, do the Penguins own Versus? :D

First off, I HATE the Quackers as much as any other Kings fan....

But this just shows how clueless the NHL is about marketing it's product. Six national TV appearances for the Stanley Cup champs??

The Kings being ignored by national TV is nothing new to us, and it doesn't surprise me at all.

And why would national TV want to broadcast games for one of the worst teams in the league last year? Sure, we all want to see the Kings, but let's face it, nobody else does.

Jom,

You are very close. Versus is not owned by the Penguins. Versus is actually owned by the Comcast Corporation. That is the same Comcast Corporation who owns the Philadelphia Flyers.

You know, the same Flyers who will be appearing on National TV at least EIGHT times next season. Three more times than the Cup Champions Fowls. And the very same Flyers who finished dead last in the league last season!!
