Another London story, with a twist
The punchline is at the end, about Bernier...
''His play is going to dictate what happens,'' said Crawford. ''We know we've got gold there . . . we're also all very conscious of the fact we know he's going to be a great goaltender and we want to do the right thing for him.
''You want young kids to come in to your training camp and make it very difficult for you to anything but keep you. And he's done that.''
So who starts in net Saturday?
''I'm leaning right towards rewarding the guy that really deserves it,'' Crawford said with a smile.

Play the Kid. He's the only goalie in the preseason that showed promise.
This Kid is going to put Jiggy and the rest of the quacks to shame.
And he'll do it twice.
does anyone know how many games will be shown in HD this season on FSN or Prime Ticket? There were rumors of the hockey telecasts being downgraded from last season. With the new HD channels on DirecTV, there should be no excuse for not having every single game broadcast in HD.
I believe I read that only 10 games will be in high def this year. I'm not 100 percent on that...
Gene,
Although I do agree that with the amount of HD content growing by the day, there should be no excuse for the Kings games not to be broadcasted in HD but that has nothing to do with it. Even though DirecTV will be adding an FSN HD channel to their lineup, they have nothing to do with FSN broadcasting their games or shows in HD. FSN decides what content they want to provide in HD, and it costs lots of money, more to produce an HD telecast than an SD one. If you want more Kings games in HD, email FSN and the Kings to let them know the fans demand it.
Wow! It really does sound like Crow is going to start the kid. Props to Bernier for earning the job.....for now at least.
FSN Bay Area will produce 30 Sharks games in HD this season. Makes me jealous...

anyone have an e-mail or phone number to FSN West/Prime Ticket??
Hey, I know this is slighly off subject, but I live in Dallas and have Directv and can't find the London games listed. Does anyone else have that issue? Perhaps my TV listings haven't updated but wanted to check with my fellow Kings fans.
If you are looking for the London games on Center Ice, I don't think you will find them. I have DirecTV also and I have not seen Saturday's game on the listings. Saturday is a FSNPT, HDNet and CBC in Canada telecast. Sunday is a Versus exclusive US national telecast so you can only watch it there.
