LaBarbera interview
OK, here goes nothing. My thanks to Jason LaBarbera for being my official test subject as far as video interviews go. Remember, when you watch this...I'm not a professional videographer!
There will be a transcipt of the interview up soon, but right now I'm just concerned with getting the videos up and running. Check back on this post for the transcript sometime tonight.
Here's Jason:

Rich Hammond has covered the Kings, on a full-time or part-time basis, since the 2000-01 season. He was the beat writer for the entire John Torchetti era and has witnessed Bob Miller singing country music in a Nashville honky-tonk bar. A native of Los Angeles, Rich has worked at the Daily News since 1999 and also serves as the paper's deputy sports editor. E-mail Rich at

Rich, awesome job! this is gonna be a great addition to your blog. Can't wait to see the others and I can't wait for the season to start! Thanks for all the coverage.
Nice work! Thanks again for all your coverage.
Thanks again Rich for the unprecedented and unparalleled Kings coverage.
Congrats on taking your skills to a new level.
Rich,
This is outstanding. Keep it up. The quality is very good for an impromptu post-training session interview.
Well unlike the Cammy interview this one sounded good. Labs sounds like he knows exactly where he stands with the team, and exactly where he stood last year. Although, as he said: things got a little frustrating at times last year, he was able to exercise patience, which can only help him in the coming season. Of course, winning awards for the top goaltender and fewest goals against ain't bad either!
Even though he had that weird situation last year, i think the experience of going deep into the playoff with Manchester is a big plus and only leaves me to believe that he and the Kings are going to surprise many people.
Thanks again Rich. GO, KINGS, GO!
Great interview. Love the video! I hope Jason seizes the opportunity and proves he can be a #1.
The video is a fantastic addition to the blog. As a lifelong fan, I really appreciate being able to hear directly from the guys. These few videos provided more coverage than almost all tv coverage for the whole season. Thank you! A suggestion: (I'm sure you thought about this but can't do it do to onsite circumstances)but a simple set up with two chairs and the camera on a tripod over your shoulder would give the intereviews a more relaxed feel.
great job rich! thank you for the video interviews. all of us kings fans really appreciate it. keep up the great work!
Finally! News from my goalie! I've been waiting for SOMETHING, anything on Jason all summer.
Thanks!
