Went to the Canada-Russia game tonight and even though I'm no Rich Hammond or Gannon for that matter, I still thought I'd give my two cents worth.

Game was pretty dull - crowd of 10,600 didn't have much to chear about despite the Canadians winning. Maybe the teams were tired cuz they played in the 'peg last night??

Hickey looked pretty good on d - couple of gafs but nothing too bad. I certainly wouldn't say he's as good as Neidermayer was when he was playing in Kamloops. I'd say he's more like another former Kamloops d-man Sydor.

Best Canadian players were Turris, Sutter, and Lucic. Best Russian was the goalie Varlamov - stood on his head until the 3rd when the Russians gave up.

really rooting for murray. The guy has always been a fighter and never complained about his role for the team. If cammalleri can make it, I don't see why Murray can't. Would be interesting to see the coaching staff's break down of each player after the prospect scrimmage and training camp.
